Inyo County is working on an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure Plan aimed at increasing access to charging stations and supporting California’s move toward cleaner transportation. The county is encouraging residents, business owners, and community partners to participate in a public meeting about the plan.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the Inyo County Consolidated Office Building in Bishop. Attendees will receive updates on the EV Charging Plan, see proposed locations for new charging stations throughout the county, and have opportunities to provide input on station locations and other aspects of the project.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option is available via Zoom using Meeting ID 895 3716 8858.

Community members can also contribute suggestions for potential charging station sites through an interactive online map provided by the county. The map is accessible at https://dks-engage.com/inyo-evplan and will be open for public comments until October 31, 2025.

According to information from Inyo County, expanding EV charging infrastructure aims to support local residents and visitors who drive electric vehicles. It also seeks to encourage tourism and economic development while helping the county meet California’s clean energy and climate objectives.

“Community participation is a vital part of this effort.”

The initiative aligns with state efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition toward sustainable transportation solutions.
