Lone Pine Unified School District's schools enrolled 325 students in the 2022-23 school year, 1.5% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were girls, and 48.3% were boys.

Lone Pine Unified School District covers three schools within Inyo County with its main office in Lone Pine.

Among the three schools in Lone Pine Unified School District, Lo-Inyo Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 211 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
