Residents of Inyo County interested in highway projects and park improvements can attend a community meeting hosted by District 1 Supervisor Trina Orrill. The event is scheduled for Monday, July 28, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Clint G. Quilter Consolidated Office Building, located at 1360 N. Main St., Bishop. For those unable to attend in person, a Zoom option is available.

Caltrans District 9 Construction Public Information Officer Michael Lingberg will provide updates on highway projects, including the Meadow Farms ADA project. “According to Caltrans, the project will upgrade pedestrian facilities to comply with State pedestrian accessibility design standards,” and will include upgrading curb ramps, driveways, pedestrian push buttons, restriping pavement markings, relocating traffic signals and masts, and constructing new lanes/sidewalks along U.S. 395.

Construction for these upgrades is anticipated to start later this summer.
