Join us for a presentation on the Alpine County Draft Regional Transportation Plan at the Alpine County Local Transportation Commission meeting on January 5th!
Our community workshop will take place at a regular Commission meeting. Community members are encouraged to attend to provide feedback on progress of the Plan.
The meeting will take place on January 5th, 2021 at 11:00 AM via Zoom. Zoom meetings may be attended by computer, or by smartphone if the Zoom App has been downloaded. The meeting link will be provided closer to the meeting date.

DEVELOPING A REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN
The purpose of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) is to provide the vision for the region, supported by transportation goals, for ten-year (2020-2030) and twenty-year (2031-2040) planning horizons. The RTP will assess the current modes of transportation in Alpine County and the potential of new travel options within the region; identify projected growth corridors and predict the future improvements and needs for travel and goods movement; identify and document specific actions necessary to address the region’s mobility and accessibility needs; and determine prioritized regional transportation projects and funding strategies for Alpine County over the next twenty years.
The RTP will cover all transportation modes including local roadway improvements and maintenance, State highways, bridges, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, rail, and aviation. The RTP development process will be a collaborative effort between Alpine County, Caltrans, Hung a Lel Ti, environmental and resource management agencies, and the public.
The last RTP for the region was developed in 2015.
The Alpine County Local Transportation Commission and regional partners will be developing the 2020 Alpine County Regional Transportation Plan update through fall and winter 2020 with an eventual adoption target date of December 2020. Any outreach materials for the update including notices, meetings, minutes and agendas will be posted on this website.

A virtual Community Meeting will take place on January 5th, 2021 at 11:00 AM during a regular Alpine County Local Transportation Commission meeting. This meeting will include a presentation on the Draft Regional Transportation Plan and an opportunity for community members to provide input on the progress of the Plan. Meeting access will be provided closer to the meeting date.
